Diamond Jubilee Exhibition at Royal Crown Derby.

2012 marked the year of the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II.  Royal Crown Derby chose to mark the occassion by holding a major exhibition at their Museum.  Entitled "Throne: Royal Connections Since 1761", this unique exhibition celebrated the special links which Royal Crown Derby has with the Royal Family.

The Society chose to support this event by holding our own on-line exhibition featuring photographs of Royal visits to the factory which both record the occassions but also the faces and activities of the staff at the factory.  We chose to call our own exhibition "Royal Visits - Setting The Scene".

Royal Visits - Setting the Scene.

Royal Crown Derby kindly allowed the Society to mount an on-line exhibition of images taken during some of the Royal visits to the factory over the last 60+ years.  As well as showing the Royal visitors, these images show many aspects of life in the factory, together with the people who worked there from the top management right down to humblest employee.  It is easy to see from their faces how much the visits meant to them all.  The Society hopes you too will enjoy these moments.
